تفاصيل الوظيفة

To perform G&G reservoir description and characterization, and construct geological reservoir model; collect and interpret geological, geophysical and other technical information through exploration and development activities and identify and estimate subsurface geological conditions while supporting the development of exploration programs, reservoir management practices exploration/development/ workover wells plans.

Skills

  • Assists in the implementation of section policies, processes, and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled.

  • Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the Khafji B1 Section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

  • Supports the Supervisor in technical evaluation and verification of contractors’ pre-qualification documents and assessment of each contactor’s capabilities, to ensure selection of appropriately qualified contractors at the optimum price and required standards.

  • Provides specialized support during the execution of contracts to ensure that both contracting parties fulfil their obligations.

  • Conducts independent geological evaluations of the highest technical standard of Khafji B1 Asset specific nature in support of Exploration & Development operations.

  • Gathers, analyses & interprets all available geological/geophysical and petro-physical data, integrating the results, estimating hydrocarbon reserves, formulating the findings and reporting to Supervisor for appropriate decision.

  • Participates and contributes in in-house geological studies focusing on hydrocarbon potential of prospective reservoirs, formations/groups and other areas.

  • Investigates various realization methods and techniques and performs various realizations, constructs geo-cellular models, volumetric reserves evaluation and verifies integrated static model.

  • Investigates various geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering data, information, analyses, and study reports, and recommends programs of exploratory and development wells, with well location, target zone and other geological prognosis for drilling and testing operations.

  • Attends and supervises geological operations at well site on a rotation basis. Analyses and interprets cuttings, core samples, oil and gas showings, and other geological information collected at well-site, and establishes detailed geological interpretation of wells by preparing well logs, charts, cross-sections, maps, and tables.

  • Based on the analyses and interpretation, recommends depths for casing, coring, logging, perforation, and a well steering plan.

  • Performs logistic works to support geological operations, such as import/transportation/storage of explosives and radio active sources, cuttings and core samples transportation and storage, logging data handling and coordination with Contractors.

  • Oversees and monitors contractors for wire-line logging, mud logging, coring, sample analyses, and data processing. Checks operation reports and invoices from contractors, and prepares payment requisitions.

  • Analyses and interprets geological data/samples collected from the drilled well, compares with pre-drilling geological interpretation and updates and establishes geological interpretation of the field.  Prepares a final geological report of each well. Secures storage and maintains well data including wire-line logs, mud logs, samples, and analyses in good accessible conditions.

  • Prepares section reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards.

  • Assists the Supervisor in annual budget preparation, review and control on expenditures, in line with annual EDD departmental budget and annual operational plans.

  • Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
