Addresses facilities issues in areas assigned, deconstructs, examines and suggests long-term or conceptual study/design for future improved operation and performance as well as case studies on individual capital project in order to verify the feasibility and economics of such studies and designs. Completes short and long-range facility planning, including facility master plans and feasibility studies, projected space requirements and making recommendations on present and future space utilization and facility needs. Review & verify design drawings and technical documents. Write technical reports to summarize findings and modify the design if needed.

•  Collates and reviews new technology, operating philosophies via Scientific & Professional Journals, Publications, Seminars and Exhibitions and advises Manager/Senior Engineer on adoption of the same, should they be of value in operating efficiencies.


• Prepares scope of work, including specifications, drawings of tender documents for the project to ensure technical soundness 


• Evaluates the technical bids and proposals submitted by the 
  bidders for equipments to ensure specification and need


• Prepares and reviews scope of work, including specifications, drawings and other instrumentation parts of tender documents for the projects


• Reviews specifications, drawings and other technical documents submitted by the PCD & ESD 


• Establishes specifications for new materials, spare parts etc for vendor quotation and follow up.


• Evaluates bids and proposals submitted by the bidders for materials and spare parts.


• Supervises, monitors and inspects contractors’ work during the contract execution to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of contract, and reports any discrepancy between contract and actual work to his Supervisor


• Studies, develops and recommends methods and procedures to improve the safe and efficient operation through breakdown maintenance or trouble-shooting
  Studies and recommends a new technology and its application to  KJO operations


• Consults other departments concerned to verify engineering output and construction of equipment or parts of facilities
  Inspects job sites to insure safe working conditions and enforces safe working practices and good housekeeping
