Position

Assistant Finance Manager

Notable Qualification

An Assistant Finance Manager responsible for supporting the Finance Manager in managing financial planning, accounting operations, budgeting, reporting, and compliance, with the ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced business environment.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or a part qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or financial management roles.

Portfolio

• Experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, and management reports.

• Practical exposure to audits, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.

• Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems.

Brief Description of Job to be Performed

1

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the Finance Manager in budget preparation, forecasting, and monitoring budget performance.

Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.

Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and assist during internal and external audits.

Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide insights and recommendations to management.

6

Coordination & Support: Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders (auditors, banks, consultants) to ensure smooth financial operations.

Skills


• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.

• Experience in financial analysis, variance analysis, and cost control.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Excel. • Good understanding of VAT, taxation, and statutory compliance requirements. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks with close attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
