JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE


The position holder collaborates with authorized inspection contractors to provide outstanding nondestructive testing inspection services and certifications for all assets located in the yard and workshop.


This position is vital for the comprehensive evaluation of our physical assets, and fitness certifications which involve detailed testing and assessment of equipment, machinery, and infrastructure. The goal is to ensure


that our equipment adheres to industry operating standards, operates without complications, identifies potential operational and safety issues at an early stage, and suggests appropriate corrective measures.


The primary duty is to facilitate the safe and efficient inspection of all designated equipment and systems at our Ras Al Khair site. The role will collaborate with the inspection contractor to assess, test, and evaluate


static components, autonomous systems, and complete units, ensuring compliance with the standards, regulations, and safety protocols established by International Maritime Industries


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


• Develop asset inspection NDT KPIs to effectively manage inspection contractors during onsite inspection work.


• Assess the availability and sufficiency of consumables, equipment, and instrumentation utilized for the execution and oversight of NDT.


• Identify and develop the right equipment list for NDT from asset register with relevant supporting document thus ensuring proper alignment with operations depart and other related stakeholders


• Manage asset inspection NDT tasks execution procedures, verify contractor work completion with ability of spotting errors in line with contractual requirements and inspection reports.


• Coordinate and witness inspections, review reports and documentation produced by inspection contractors, and ensure the timely completion of NDT work scopes.


• Ensure tests, controls, and inspections are conducted in accordance with Inspection Test Plans, verifying the collection of pertinent documentation for mechanical completion approval, and that personnel have access


to all essential project documentation


• Ensure proper execution of NDT procedures aimed at meeting standard and corporate compliance requirements.


• Manage MT, UT, PT, RT, VT with upfront competence to prepare all stakeholders (internal and external) for the execution of these activities and verification of relevant documents with all relevant information for the


performance NDT, the collection and management of documents that certify tests, controls, and inspections, ensuring that all records are readily retrievable within the final As-Built dossier.


• Ensure the preparation of the scope completion Dossier for final submission. • Confirm that the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) management process is established and functioning effectively.



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


Education


Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent.


Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations) 


• ASNT NDT Level II qualification in (MT, PT, UT, RT).


Experience


• At least 6 years of experience in related field.
