Job Details

To conduct daily air and sea oil spill surveillance to ensure that any oil spill situations are properly contained and controlled so as to mitigate any negative effects to the environment. To provide (during emergencies)  technical supports to oil spill response and combating teams regarding mapping coordinates & spill trajectory as observed from air & sea patrols.


 


Academic and professional qualifications:


Helicopter Landing Officer Certificate by recognized institute.


Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) Certificate by recognized institute.

Skills


  • Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

  • Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the Aviation Operations Section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

  • Conduct daily air & sea oil spill patrol as per planned routes to identify oils spills and oil spill location.

  • Full engaged in oil spill response, loading and offloading equipment’s

  • §  Prepare daily surveillance report, compile and submit to concerned

  •  Prepare Oil Spill  Incident Report with details mapping, spill   trajectory, and coordinates.

  • Perform oil spill calculations and quantification.

  • Collect oil spill sample and coordinate with laboratory testing, sourcing

  • Conduct oil spill combating on-board marine vessel; like boat screw-mixing, for minor oil spill incidents (Tier 1).

  • Provide and assist oil spill response & combating teams with real-time spill locations, size and quantity , and latest spill trajectories during crisis.

  • Provide and assist training programs on oil spill identification, quantification, and  reporting.

  •  Performs other related duties or assignments as directed
