Job Description
The Planning Engineer has overall responsibility for the management of planning work on Coastal Contracting Company projects is undertaken in compliance with Coastal Contracting Company Planning procedure requirements, in line with the required timeframes to the expected quality. The qualified candidate will have the specialized domain knowledge and commitment to excellence expected by the Coastal Contracting Company team.
Job Responsibilities
- Developing project baseline schedules complete with resource & cost loading.
- Tracking project progress and updating schedules accordingly
- Ensuring that all project documentation is complete and up to date.
- Preparing Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
- Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation plans.
- Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Analyzing project data and providing recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare and submit variance analysis and delay notification submission.
- Participating in project meetings and providing updates on project status.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Position Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or any other construction/ development related degree.
- Project Management certification/ diploma/ masters is preferable.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a large-scale mixed-used development project is desirable.
Skills
- Competencies required are excellent organizational skill, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, diplomacy, materials and construction knowledge and a good knowledge of the local industry.
- Proficiency using latest version of Primavera planning software together with proficiency using Microsoft Excel in generating reports.
