Role Purpose This role manages disaster recovery and automation for banking applications, utilizing Ansible Automation Platform and Orchestrator expertise. Key tasks include automating consistency checks, creating job templates for test cases, and validating disaster recovery scenarios.
Key Responsibilities Automation & Development,· Develop & maintain Ansible Automation Platform playbooks, roles, and collections for Windows, AIX, and RHEL, Databases (MSSQL, Oracle, DB2, & Terradata), Middleware (WAS, MQ)· Use Jinja2 templating and Ansible Vault; manage secrets/integrations (e.g., Git, Bitbucket, CI/CD).· Orchestration and bug fixing responsibility· Developing attractive Dashboard (ELK, Grafana,) Scripting & Tooling· Develop utilities in Python (CLI tools, API clients, data parsers) and shell scripts (Bash/ksh) & Power Shell for Windows automation.· Implement robust logging, error handling, and unit tests for scripts; package/reuse where applicable (venv, pip, modules). Integrations· Integrate monitoring & automation with ITSM (e.g., Service Now) for incident/change/problem workflows.· Develop REST API integrations and webhooks (e.g., Ansible Tower callbacks, /Kibana alert webhooks), GTM, Infoblox, F5..· Partner with security for SIEM feeds, audit requirements, and regulatory retention.
Required Qualifications· 4–8+ years in Infrastructure/Platform/SRE/Dev Ops roles (or equivalent experience).· Strong hands-on Ansible (playbooks/roles/collections)· Proficiency in Python, Bash/ksh, and Power Shell (production-grade scripts).· Administration experience across Windows Server, AIX, and RHEL.· Proven ELK (Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana) and Grafana ingestion, parsing, and dashboarding.· Experience with APIs, webhooks, and data integrations; JSON/YAML fluency.· Git, CI/CD basics, change management, and documentation best practices.· Strong troubleshooting across network, OS, application, and logging layers.
Preferred / Nice to Have· Certifications: RHCSA/RHCE,· Certified Analyst/Engineer, Red Hat Ansible Automation, Microsoft (Windows Server/Power Shell).· Experience with Service Now (events/incidents/CMDB), Satellite, Big Fix, Tanium, App Dynamics/Dynatrace/Prometheus, Grafana.· Containers and cloud basics (Docker, Kubernetes, OCI- Oracle Cloud Infra) are a plus.· Infrastructure knowledge of v RO, v CDA, v Sphere,· Orchestrator knowledge v Ro, airflow, Control-m· RHEL: systemd, SELinux, firewalld, networking, storage, users/groups, dnf/yum, kernel tuning; Satellite/Spacewalk (nice to have).· AIX: LPAR basics, smitty, nim concepts, filesystem/LVM, packaging (installp, rpm.rte) and ksh scripting.· Windows Server: AD integration, services, scheduled tasks, Power Shell Desired State Configuration (DSC) (nice to have), Eventing, WMI, IIS logs
