Essential Responsibilities
As a Field Engineer
·Perform on-site installation, Commissioning, refurbishment, Startup, Maintenance,
Troubleshooting & Upgrading of synchronous and induction machines and excitation & AVR systems.
· Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services.
· Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customers' sites .
· Writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheets, and expense sheets on a complete, timely, and thorough basis.
· Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites.
· Maintain a strong safety mindset to ensure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards.
· Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages
Skills
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university (or Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum 7 additional years of related industry experience)
· Minimum of 5 years of Rotating machines field experience
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time, as required
· Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid drivers license
· Ability and willingness to work remotely, as required
