Job Summary:
The Chief Development Officer (CDO) is responsible for driving the company’s strategic growth, business expansion, and long-term development initiatives. This executive role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, overseeing business development projects, and ensuring sustainable growth aligned with the organization’s vision and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Growth
- Develop and implement the company’s growth strategy and long-term development plans.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, markets, and revenue streams.
- Conduct market analysis, feasibility studies, and competitive benchmarking to support expansion decisions.
- Business Development & Partnerships
- Establish and manage strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations.
- Lead negotiations and agreements to secure new business opportunities.
- Explore mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and franchising opportunities where applicable.
- Project Oversight & Implementation
- Supervise new development projects, from concept to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, finance, marketing, legal) for smooth implementation.
- Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and ROI analyses for development initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of growth strategies.
- Innovation & Market Intelligence
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer preferences.
- Recommend innovative strategies to maintain competitive advantage and market leadership.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor the development team, including analysts, project managers, and business development professionals.

Skills
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic planning, or corporate growth, preferably in multi-unit or consumer-facing industries.
- Proven track record in successful expansion, strategic partnerships, and business growth initiatives.
