Job Purpose:
- The Senior Specialist – Arrival & Departure Airport Operations will support the Manager - A&D Airport Mobility Planning & Operations in managing all transport services related to the arrival and departure of guests, employees, and stakeholders to and from airports served by the AMAALA project.
- This role focuses on ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient transportation during high-traffic periods, contributing to the seamless guest experience that AMAALA strives for.
- The Senior Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring transport schedules, managing service providers, and overseeing the transport team.
- The role will also include proactive identification and implementation of improvements to elevate service delivery and operational efficiency.
- The jobholder’s responsibility is to plan and provide safe and reliable transportation services to all Guest/Clients/Stakeholders to ensure safe journeys with minimal delays.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and Monitor Airport Transport Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of transportation services between airport terminals and Triple Bay / AMAALA Staff Village.
- Monitor schedules for arrivals and departures, ensuring no gaps or delays in transport availability.
- Ensure the transport services meet the agreed standards for safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
Service Coordination
- Address any non-performance issues or operational challenges and ensure corrective actions are implemented swiftly.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead a team of transport coordinators, drivers, and support staff to ensure smooth operations during arrivals and departures.
- Manage team scheduling, performance reviews, and ensure staff are well-trained and equipped to deliver a high standard of service.
Guest Experience Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for all transport-related inquiries and complaints from internal and external stakeholders related to airport arrivals and departures.
- Respond promptly to feedback, resolving any issues to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
Operational Improvement Initiatives
- Proactively review and analyze existing transport operations to identify opportunities for improved efficiency or cost-effectiveness.
- Implement new systems to enhance the guest experience and streamline operations.
Risk and Safety Management
- Ensure all transport services are in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Report and investigate any incidents or accidents involving transport services, taking necessary corrective actions and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed.
Reporting & Data Management
- Compile regular reports on transport performance, including ridership data, incident reports, and feedback analysis.
- Provide insights to senior management regarding trends, operational challenges, and recommendations for service enhancements.
Job Requirements:
Qualification and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least 6 years industry experience and proven expertise in the automotive or transportation industry
- Proficient in English (oral and written), Arabic proficiency is a nice to have.
- Experience of managing A&D Airport functions in a large and fast paced environment
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a quick moving and change oriented environment
- Must be able to multi-tasking in a fast pace, high volume, environment
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs with a minimum of intermediate skills in Word, Excel and Outlook (skill level will be tested)
- Able to work in a highly collaborative environment with independence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate based on needs of VIP chauffeur driver.

Job Context:
- The role is responsible for end-to-end operational readiness of the Arrival & Departure fleet, coordinating with the Maintenance team to ensure manufacturer-recommended servicing is executed without disrupting service delivery.
- This ensures consistent fleet availability, reliability, and a seamless guest experience through proactive planning, timely interventions, and tight performance oversight.
