You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform regular maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair or replace defective parts, such as engines, transmissions, and exhaust systems.
- Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs were completed successfully and that the vehicle operates as intended.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used for each vehicle.
- Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair options, and costs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following company safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance overall service quality and efficiency.
- Assist in training junior mechanics and apprentices as needed.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
