Purpose of the Job
To provide comprehensive legal support in managing statutory documents, government portals, trademarks, Powers of Attorney, licenses, and legal records, while supporting both corporate and litigation functions and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal support in issuing, renewing, updating, transferring, and cancelling CRs, licenses, PoAs, delegations, trademarks, and other statutory/constitutional documents through official government portals (MOC, MISA, SAIP, MOJ, KAEC, SAGIA, ETIMAD, etc.).
- Handle all tasks related to CRs, Articles of Association, Commercial Agencies, and statutory documents via Ministry of Commerce portals and resolve related system issues.
- Participate in drafting Powers of Attorney and coordinate with notaries for issuance and cancellation.
- Update the legal database daily, including uploading newly issued/renewed documents and archiving expired documents.
- Arrange the issuance and renewal of Chamber of Commerce Membership Certificates and manage authorized signatories.
- Support trademark-related procedures, including registration, renewal, transfer, cancellation, and coordination with clients, using the SAIP portal.
- Submit license and permit applications through government platforms such as the Economic City Authority, SAGIA, and MISA.
- Manage authorization and delegation processes on Etimad and other government portals for Zahid staff.
- Coordinate with translators to translate legal or official documents as needed.
- Maintain original statutory documents securely and provide copies to relevant departments when required.
- Participate in drafting shareholder and board resolutions and handle internal arrangements for proper signing.
- Report updates related to ISIC4 activities and other corporate matters to the legal team.
- Assist the Corporate Legal Team in drafting and reviewing agreements, NDAs, MoUs, and other contracts.
- Support the Litigation Team in drafting and reviewing court documents as needed.
- Coordinate internally with business units to ensure legal activities comply with applicable laws.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws, regulations, systems, and government portals.
- Handle administrative duties such as petty cash, stationery, HDR requests, maintenance requests, purchase orders, SAP entries, leave requests, and other legal-department services.
- Manage receiving, delivering, and withdrawing company stamps.
- Arrange internal and external meetings, prepare materials, take minutes, and follow up on decisions.
- Receive and review legal files from departments/companies, ensuring accuracy and completion before processing.
- Perform administrative routines independently within general guidelines.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within the automotive or related industry.
- Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and compliance regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear manner.
- Proficient in legal research tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all legal matters.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is highly preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field is preferred, along with relevant certifications.
