Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting a diverse range of systems and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Duties

• Manage and maintain cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, ensuring security and efficiency.
• Oversee virtualization environments including VMware and ESXi, performing upgrades, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Administer databases including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL solutions; optimize performance and ensure data integrity.
• Configure and support operating systems across Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
• Manage DNS configurations, VPN connections, and network security protocols to ensure reliable connectivity.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, Python, or PowerShell to streamline operations.
• Implement DevOps practices utilizing tools like Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, and REST APIs for continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
• Monitor system health, perform regular backups, apply patches/updates, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Support network infrastructure including computer networking principles such as TCP/IP, routing protocols, and firewall management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy applications using JavaScript, Java, T-SQL, PL/SQL, or other development tools as needed.
• Document procedures and configurations; provide technical support to internal teams.

Experience

• Proven experience with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
• Strong background in virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere/ESXi.
• Extensive knowledge of database management systems: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle; experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with operating systems: Windows Server editions and various Linux distributions.
• Familiarity with computer networking concepts: DNS setup, VPN configuration, TCP/IP protocols.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Experience with DevOps tools including Git version control system, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Knowledge of RESTful API integration and microservices architecture is desirable.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple platforms efficiently.
