5.0 Duties and Responsibilities:
IMS Strategy and Design:
1. Implement the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the organization's OEIMS,
aligning it with overall business objectives and operational excellence principles.
2. Design and develop the OE IMS framework, integrating various standards (ISO
9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) into a cohesive system.
3. Ensure the OE IMS is scalable, adaptable, and supports the organization's
growth and evolving needs.
Implementation and Deployment:
1. Lead the implementation of the OE IMS across all relevant departments and
functions.
2. Support and guide all relevant departments’ champions and functions for
implementation.
3. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth integration of
processes and systems.
System Maintenance and Oversight:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the OE IMS, ensuring its
effectiveness and compliance with internal and external requirements.
2. Manage OE IMS documentation, including policies, procedures, work
instructions, and records.
3. Ensure regular reviews and updates of the OE IMS to reflect changes in
regulations, business processes, and best practices.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
1. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the
effectiveness and performance of the OE IMS.
2. Collect, analyze, and report on OE IMS performance data to senior management,
identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
3. Conduct regular management reviews of the OE IMS to assess its suitability,
adequacy, and effectiveness.
Skills
6.0 Educational /Licensure:
6.1 Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Quality Management,
or a related field. A master’s degree is often preferred.
6.2 Certifications: NEBOSH IGC (mandatory), NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
(preferred).
6.3 Relevant certifications such as ISO Lead Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001, 45001),
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or PMP are highly desirable.
7.0 Professional Experience:
7.1 Significant experience in developing, implementing, and managing
integrated management systems, with a strong background in operational
excellence methodologies.
7.2 A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an HSE role, with significant,
direct experience in industrial turnarounds, shutdowns.
7.3 Demonstrated experience in the oil & gas, chemical, or petrochemical
industry is essential.
8.0 Specialized knowledge:
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of various management system
standards, process mapping, risk assessment, data analysis, and project
management.
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, influencing, problem-
solving, and change management skills. Ability to work collaboratively
across all levels of an organization.
