The Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor is responsible for the operation, upkeep, and technical performance of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within a large, high-end private residence. The role encompasses preventive and corrective maintenance, vendor coordination, and technical supervision of both in-house and outsourced teams to ensure
uninterrupted functionality, safety, and aesthetic integrity of all systems and facilities.
• Oversee, maintain, and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• HVAC systems (chillers, air handling units, ducting, controls, etc.)
• Electrical distribution panels, generators, UPS, lighting systems, and automation controls.
• Water supply, pumps, filtration, irrigation, and drainage systems.
• Firefighting and alarm systems, access control, CCTV, and low-current networks.
• Conduct regular inspections and performance checks to ensure optimal operation.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, drawings, and system logs.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules in line with manufacturer recommendations.
• Supervise upkeep of all building fabric, including finishes, doors/windows, roof, flooring, and general infrastructure.
• Oversee maintenance of special installations, such as: Swimming pools, spas, fountains, and water features, Elevators and dumbwaiters, Kitchen and laundry equipment.
Experience
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in MEP operations and maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Prior experience in luxury hotels, estates, or high-end residential properties strongly preferred.
• Proven record of managing multidisciplinary maintenance teams and service vendors.
Education & Certification
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related field).
• Relevant technical certifications (HVAC, electrical, or plumbing) preferred.
• Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) and home automation systems advantageous.
Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of MEP systems design, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals.
• Competence in using maintenance software or CMMS systems.
• Knowledge of safety codes, electrical standards, and environmental compliance.
