The Proposal / Bid Engineer is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of bid submissions, including technical and commercial proposals. This includes reviewing RFPs, coordinating with internal departments, preparing execution methodologies, schedules, and documentation in compliance with client requirements and deadlines. The role plays a key part in increasing win rates through well-prepared and persuasive submissions.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze RFP/RFQ documents and understand client requirements.
- Develop bid submission plans and monitor key milestone deadlines.
- Coordinate with estimation, technical, finance, and legal departments for proposal
- Prepare and manage tender submissions in accordance with client specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather necessary data for cost estimation and proposal development.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis to develop accurate and competitive pricing for tender submissions.
- Review and analyze project specifications to identify cost implications and potential risks.
- Assist in the preparation and negotiation of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, changes, and communications with clients and stakeholders.
- Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
- Provide expert advice on tendering processes and contract negotiations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform tender strategies.
