Job Title: Optometrist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our team. The Optometrist will be responsible for performing eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems, and prescribing corrective lenses or other treatments. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of optical instruments, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision tests.

• Diagnose and manage visual disorders, such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.

• Detect signs of eye diseases and refer patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists when needed.

• Educate patients on eye care, contact lens hygiene, and vision correction options.

• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment history.

• Use specialized equipment such as phoropters, retinoscopes, and slit lamps.

• Stay up to date with advancements in optometry and vision care technology.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or a related field (Doctor of Optometry degree preferred).

• Valid license to practice as an Optometrist (as required by Saudi commission for health specialties regulations).

• Proven experience in a clinical or retail optometry setting is a plus.

• Strong communication and diagnostic skills.

• Commitment to professional ethics and patient-centered care.
