Job Purpose
To manage the implementation of the design, construction, and development plans to create value for Red Sea Global’s (RSG) projects by monitoring project schedule and guidelines and verifying that proper standards are implemented to ensure on-time delivery and high-end deliverables.
Job Responsibilities - Leadership
Technical Functions
- Awareness, understanding and experience of coastal numerical modelling processes and marine structures design.
- Awareness of relevant codes and standards, such as BS6349, PIANC, Eurocodes and RSG’s own Design Guidelines.
- Assisting in the preparation and/or review of Request for Proposals, Employer’s Requirements, Design Documents and Specifications, Tender documents, and Tender reviews.
- Managing the delivery process for packages which form part of large multi-disciplinary projects.
- Communicate clearly and concisely in a manner that does not introduce confusion, this will include instruction to client appointed consultants/contractors.
- Liaise with technical leads to provide all necessary inputs to ensure consultant/contractor delivers to schedule.
Strategic Contribution
- Assist with the implementation of the annual business plan and targets and execute the strategic agenda of the Projects Delivery function to deliver RSG’s vision and mission.
- Ensure that the strategy is translated into operational business plans for the Projects Delivery function and monitor the performance and execution of those plans to achieve functional objectives and deliver the company’s strategy.
Job Responsibilities - Functional
Budget
- Contribute to the preparation of the functional budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Design and Project Management
- Develop management plans and provide contractors with execution drawings, ensure that works are executed as per drawings, and evolving as scheduled, check on the quality of works deliverables and specifications to ensure a proper design implementation.
- Provide contractor and consultants with the detailed project plan and documentation at all stages of the project from initial concept to construction documentation and ensure that all the drawings and designs are clear to ensure projects are compliant with the RSG’s standards and overall objectives.
- Develop a clear and rigorous project schedule, value, and scope management techniques, and forecast budget to integrate them within the project schedule to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.
- Manage project initiation and execution through scheduling all relevant phases and work activities to ensure timely and work optimization and ensure that all the works are executed as per RSG’s policies and procedures and project-specific approvals from management.
- Develop reports regarding project status and evolution, compare work done versus work scheduled, areas of unsatisfactory results are revealed, and mitigation plans are implemented to improve processes and ensure on-time delivery.

- Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

- Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Job Requirements - Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Marine Engineering.
- Master’s degree in engineering is preferred.
- Working towards Professional/Institution and/or Project Management certification/qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
