Job Summary:
As a Procurement Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing procurement activities within the organization. You will ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Job Responsibility:
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
- Research potential vendors and compare prices and quality to ensure the best deal
- Prepare Purchase Orders and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
- Coordinate with various departments to determine their procurement needs
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders or suppliers in a timely manner
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Procurement Administrator or in a similar role
- Solid knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
SAP/ERP Expertise – Many job descriptions list “familiarity with ERP systems,” but real hands-on experience in SAP, Ariba, or Oracle is crucial.
Attention to Detail – Procurement admins handle financial transactions, POs, and contracts, so errors can be costly. Candidate Must be highly detail-oriented.
Multitasking Ability – This role involves coordinating with suppliers, processing POs, tracking deliveries, and handling urgent requests simultaneously.
Strong Follow-up Skills – The job requires constant follow-ups with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth procurement.
