Overall Goal: Gather product information, maintain customer databases, and provide technical support to facilitate sales and coordinate with other departments
Role and Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities, generate and follow up on sales leads, prepare and present compelling sales proposals and quotations, negotiate favorable contracts and pricing with customers, and consistently exceed sales targets.
Provide expert technical advice and support to customers. Assist customers in identifying and selecting the appropriate spare parts. Troubleshoot, resolve technical issues and conduct informative product demonstrations.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and complaints. Effectively resolve customer issues and concerns on time.
Anticipate and address customer needs proactively.
Regularly travel within the designated sales territory to visit projects and work sites, conducting face-to-face meetings with existing and prospective customers.
Staying informed about industry trends and competitor activities. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities. Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.
Prepare detailed sales reports and forecasts. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities. Utilize CRM software to effectively manage customer relationships and update their data when needed.
Gathering outstanding customer debts and submit them to the Finance Department for further processing.
Skills
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related technical field.
- At least three years of practical sales experience in the drilling, mining, or heavy equipment spare parts industry.
