Job Summary:
The Project Director will lead and manage large-scale facility management projects from inception to completion. This role involves overseeing the delivery of facilities-related services, ensuring high-quality execution, and managing resources, budgets, and timelines. The Project Director will work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients to achieve project objectives and ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of facility management projects, ensuring all objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of project teams, including project managers, engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and project staff.
- Manage and resolve conflicts within the project team and external vendors.
- Client Relations:
- Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
- Present regular updates to clients on project progress, risks, and changes in scope or timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial oversight.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and service standards.
- Review and approve project expenditures and change orders.
- Risk and Quality Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project.
- Monitor the quality of deliverables and performance, ensuring that they meet both client expectations and industry standards.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on project status, milestones, risks, and resource usage for senior management and clients.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and communications.
- Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure that all facility management activities and projects comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
