The Mechanical Technician at Savola Foods Company will be an integral member of the maintenance team at our food and retail production facilities. This junior-level position is responsible for maintaining the functionality and performance of all mechanical equipment, ensuring seamless production processes. The incumbent will directly contribute to the reliability of machinery such as pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, and specialized sugar processing machines, adhering strictly to OEM standards. The technician will be hands-on in conducting daily inspections, executing preventive maintenance during scheduled shutdowns, and overseeing both minor and periodical repairs. The role demands a blend of technical acuity and practical problem-solving, ensuring all equipment is maintained in optimal condition. The technician will also be responsible for preparing and utilizing job tools, management of permit work related to maintenance, inspection of incoming spare parts, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental protocols. - Diploma or Technical Institute certification in Mechanical Maintenance or related field.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within the food and retail industry.

Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections of plant equipment and document findings in inspection records/checklists.
- Perform and document preventive maintenance activities in line with the annual shutdown schedule, including minor and periodical repairs.
- Oversee the repair process, whether conducted in-house or by an external workshop, ensuring the quality of work aligns with company standards.
- Prepare the required tools, permits, spares, and stand-by units necessary for repair execution.
- Consistently follow the company's safety and environmental precautions during duty.
- Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve daily mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports reflecting shift maintenance activities and corrective actions for evaluation by the mechanical supervisor.
- Adhere to established working methods, procedures, and work standards.
- Monitor the condition of online mechanical equipment during shifts, ensuring optimal performance.
