- Report to the Technical Asset Lead, following day-to-day activities in the assigned shift, including maintenance work, breakdown events, Corrective Maintenance, and Preventive Maintenance for the equipment.
- Work closely with the planner and scheduler for maintenance job planning, setting the job skills required, priority, and the request/availability of parts needed.
- Is capable of handling effective communications with Operations team to grasp a thorough understanding of their requests, engaging quickly on urgent breakdowns, acting upon equipment priority, ensuring high asset availability.
- Create work orders in CMMS platform in compliance with latest plan submitted by Engineering Planning. Provide accurate feedback from shift team members, detailing works carried out, materials consumed and relevant status updates for serviced equipment upon works completion.
- Arrange and assign the daily tasks to the shift members, prioritizing critical tasks and quickly adapting to adjust service strategy upon unexpected events (breakdowns, shortage of manpower, etc) during the shift.
- Make sure all works are performed with the highest safety standards. Drive a safety-oriented culture. Enforce stop work authority. Cooperate with HSSE on risk assessment evaluations and safe work permit forms completion.
- Accountable for optimal distribution of shift tools and manpower, and proper use of spare parts and tools for any maintenance work.
· Follow-up on the tools and equipment certifications, arranging for renewing them before expiration.
- Provide daily activities report every shift for all tasks executed in the shift, facilitating good tracking of works performed and equipment condition, following-up to ensure smooth handover between shifts.
- Develop technical team personnel, keeping track of their performance and assessing their skills periodically. Support a professional development plan aligned with area management strategy and deliver quarterly updates on results.
- Engage on identifying knowledge gaps for technical staff, delivering identified points of improvement to immediate manager for allocation of proper training to meet actual area needs.
- Be actively involved in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions to develop the technical team’s ability to assess equipment breakdown events properly. Follow-up on corrective actions for complete defect elimination.
- Coordinates with 3rd party service providers for activities not performed in house and supervises the activities, ensuring full compliance with NEOM standards and procedures, verifying that all related safety documents are in place.
- Flexibility on schedule upon unexpected equipment failure events outside assigned work hours, when specialized technical support is required to get assets back online.
- Engage on other responsibilities or workstreams as directed by immediate manager or higher-level stakeholders as per corporate needs.
Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience of managing and supervising maintenance activities for port equipment (RTG, STS) and mobile equipment (RS, ECH, TT, FL) as well.
- Experience in port automation systems (OCR, TPS, LCPS, etc.). Working in automated port is a plus.
- Experience in Safety-oriented culture organizations. Development of risk assessment forms. Knowledge of industry fatal risks. Active engagement in incident/accident investigations and execution of preventive actions.
- Good understanding of industrial networking like CANBUS, PROFIBUS, ASI, ETHERNET, MODBUS, etc. Understanding IT networking and OSI model is a plus.
- Well versed in understanding crane control systems. Has the ability to read wiring diagrams professionally for fast troubleshooting.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques. LEAN organization experience is a plus.
- Proactive behavior towards asset performance improvement, proposing corrective action plans for eradicating failure sources upon machine breakdown events.
- Has good work experience with heavy equipment mechanical system (wires, brakes, hydraulic, etc.). Previous working in electric battery-based equipment experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems maintenance, hydraulic systems maintenance, lubrication optimization, gearboxes health monitoring, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques.

- Bachelor of Electrical / Electromechanical / Mechatronics Engineering.
- Proven Experience of shift leading role in port industries.
- Training records on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Frequency Converters (VFD), preferred on Siemens technology.
- Advanced training/experience in Siemens SIMOTION/SINAMICS system, well understanding of drive theory of operation, familiar with software, parameters, control modes of operation and troubleshooting.
- Training on mechanical systems maintenance (gearboxes, reducers), Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), hydraulic systems, and Lubrication Excellence.
