The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities for UPS systems and Control Cables. This role requires technical expertise, strong client relationships, and strategic business development skills to ensure VOLTAN achieves its revenue targets.


Key Responsibilities


Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and engage prospective customers in industries requiring power backup systems and cabling solutions.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that demonstrate the value and functionality of UPS systems and Control Cables.


Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for technical inquiries and post-sale support.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and propose tailored solutions.


Technical Expertise

  • Provide technical consultation to customers on UPS systems and Control Cables, ensuring their solutions meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate technical proposals, quotations, and product configurations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor products to offer cutting-edge solutions.


Sales Process Management

  • Lead the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal preparation, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and activity plans.
  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and after-sales support teams for timely project execution.


Market Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, potential clients, and emerging trends in the power backup and cabling markets.
  • Provide insights to management on competitors, pricing strategies, and market demands.

Skills

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of UPS technologies (Single-phase, Three-phase, Modular systems) and Control Cables (instrumentation, power, and specialty cables).
  • Ability to provide technical solutions and troubleshoot customer queries.

Sales Skills

  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to handle technical sales cycles and close high-value deals.
  • Proficiency in preparing proposals, RFPs, and quotations.
