Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary

The Business Analyst will oversee and drive the gathering of detailed requirements for projects, system enhancements, and change requests, particularly focusing on SAP systems and other related technologies. This role ensures alignment with our financial client’s strategic goals by analyzing business operations, drafting key performance indicators, and facilitating data-driven decision-making processes. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in monitoring organizational performance, ensuring continuous improvement, and maintaining operational efficiency through collaborative engagement with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering and Validation

  • Oversee all activities related to collecting and analyzing detailed requirements for projects or change requests involving SAP systems and other technologies
  • Review and validate all requests and change orders to ensure alignment with organizations operational and strategic priorities
  • Assess and prioritize requests based on business importance, prepare current state analyses, and forecast expected value-adds and impacts post-implementation

Business Performance Analysis and Improvement

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and forecasts to support strategic business planning and decision-making
  • Analyze departmental and functional performance to identify gaps, provide insights into challenges, and recommend actionable improvement plans
  • Identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities across workstreams to enhance operational efficiency

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, partners, and customers, to ensure alignment of goals and expectations
  • Schedule and conduct regular communication sessions with organizational functions to cascade strategies and ensure reconciliation with operational objectives

Data Management and Reporting

  • Collect and consolidate data periodically from all functions to analyze performance and ensure completeness of operational plans
  • Prepare and update progress reports related to business analysis tasks for stakeholders and maintain updates in relevant systems
  • Develop and continuously update KPI dashboards to track strategic metrics and take proactive action where necessary

Governance and Documentation

  • Draft, govern, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent operational efficiency and alignment with organizational standards
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of KPIs that cascade from organizational objectives to individual performance metrics

Team Support and Capacity Building

  • Assist and support the business analysis team in overcoming challenges and fulfilling assigned tasks
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to junior analysts to ensure they achieve performance standards
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving within the team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in business analysis, with a focus on SAP systems and financial modeling
  • Professional certification such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or equivalent is a plus
  • Arabic speaking is a must
  • Proven experience in process modeling (e.g., Business Process Modeling) and tools such as Visio
  • Strong understanding of KPI development and monitoring frameworks
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SAP systems and other enterprise technologies
  • Expertise in business analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Visio or equivalents
  • Familiarity with advanced Excel features, wireframes, prototyping, and data visualization tools
