ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES The Strategy Senior Manager's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Leadership - Own and promote Division’s vision, goals, development strategies and key results in support of NEOM’s objectives and in compliance with NEOM policies.
- Provide leadership in professional and operational matters, taking the lead in introducing new or innovative approaches to policy and operational issues.
- Own implementation of the Division’s work programs as well as monitor the quality of outputs, achievement of long-term goals and annual objectives for the department.
- Ensure the effective coordination and cooperation with other NEOM and The Line units and internal stakeholders
Strategic Planning - Oversee the development and when necessary, develop strategies that are needed for The Line aligned with The Line vision, aligning with internal stakeholders/the sectors/regions and the rest of the functions.
- Oversee the development and when necessary, develop Founding Board and Board presentations articulated around the key asks from the Board.
- Support annual strategic planning cycles involving all divisions of NEOM and The Line to align NEOM’s overall strategic direction with its mandate.
- Support the development of The Line’s integrated strategy and develop the 5-year strategic and annual plans by collating inputs from stakeholders and analyzing relevant data.
- Build understanding of, and improve data collection across The Line and utilizes available data in target setting.
- Conduct reviews of key strategic initiatives and projects to monitor progress and identify key risks in delivery or implementation.
- Oversee progress of key strategic initiatives and projects to generate reports, escalating key challenges when required to ensure timely execution.
- Coordinate with a wide range of NEOM and The Line stakeholders for inputs on strategic plan development and strategy execution.
- Own performance management of key strategic projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Identify and provide recommendations for critical cross-divisional areas that require project management support by Strategy team and provide professional advice on the options and consequences of strategic decisions.
- Provide strategic planning process support for Sectors, Regions and The Line.
- Support potential M&A activities in collaboration with NIF and other NEOM stakeholders.
- Participate in regular NEOM strategy reviews, provide inputs to stakeholder’s strategy reviews process, and identify key performance challenges to recommend improvements.
- Monitor and suggest improvements to key performance measures across NEOM’s different institutions, organizations, and projects to ensure standardization and attainment of annual targets.
- Own performance management of key strategic projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives while highlighting key operational challenges/ risks to ensure timely execution.
- Take responsibility for the research, and relevant data analysis, to support key strategic projects and initiatives to improve delivery or implementation.
- Support alignment between the initiatives of key institutions, organizations and projects and support services to ensure strategy execution across the organization.
Global Scanning & Strategic Positioning - In collaboration with sectors and regions, build capacity to scan and identify ideas for rapid innovation within NEOM, and learn from successes and failures from other cities.
- In collaboration with Marketing and Communications, participate in interactions with global think-tanks/academia to collaborate on potential experiments to position NEOM as the leading-edge city at the cutting edge of piloting and rapidly scaling up new technology innovations in smart city living.
- Actively identify and recommend to the Strategy and The Line Executive Committee participation in workshops and conferences to ensure connectivity with the latest thinking on smart city development, and knowledge on models of new city developments around the world.
- Build on the above to gain competitive intelligence for NEOM.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Experience - Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level.
- 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy function, consulting, corporate financial advisory function, or in other complex environments at a level of responsibility for carrying out organizational level strategic planning activities.
- Ability to lead teams with different skills sets in rigorous research leading to prescriptive recommendations for management action.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to simultaneously manage a wide number of different functional areas.
- Project management skills.
- A creative and flexible approach to dealing with workplace challenges in a setting of professionals and professionalism.

Qualifications - MBA or Masters and above in a discipline related to Business, Economics or Finance
