Design and Development:

  1. Electrical System Design:

  • Develop detailed schematics, blueprints, and electrical layouts for construction or manufacturing.

  • Participate in the development of new electrical products and systems, from concept through design, testing, and final implementation.
  • Work with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, etc.) to ensure integration with other systems and components.
  1. Technical Specifications:
  • Create technical specifications for electrical components and systems, ensuring they meet regulatory and operational standards.
  • Select appropriate materials, components, and equipment based on system requirements and project specifications.

Testing and Analysis:

  1. System Testing and Troubleshooting:
  • Conduct tests and simulations to ensure electrical systems are operating as designed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during design, installation, and maintenance phases.
  • Analyze system failures and perform root cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
  1. Performance Optimization:
  • Monitor system performance to ensure that systems are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve system performance, reduce energy consumption, or extend system life.

Project Management and Implementation:

  1. Project Coordination:
  • Work with project managers to define project scopes, budgets, and timelines for electrical systems projects.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders involved in the project.

  • Perform site visits to ensure that electrical systems are installed according to design specifications.
  • Ensure that installations comply with safety regulations, codes, and industry standards.

Safety and Compliance:

  1. Safety Standards:
  • Ensure that all electrical systems are designed and implemented in accordance with national and international electrical safety standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NEC).
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure safe operation of electrical systems.
  1. Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure that electrical designs meet local building codes, environmental standards, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain records of design decisions, testing, and inspections for compliance purposes.

Documentation and Reporting:

  1. Technical Documentation:
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including system designs, schematics, installation guides, and maintenance instructions.
  • Prepare regular project reports and progress updates for management and clients.
  1. Maintenance Documentation:
  • Prepare maintenance manuals and schedules for electrical systems, ensuring that systems are properly maintained throughout their life cycle.
  • Document any issues encountered during testing, installation, or maintenance, and track resolutions.


Skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (required)
  • A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a specialized area (e.g., Power Systems, Control Systems) is a plus.
  • Engineering degree in Electrical having driving license with 5 years experience.
  • Experience in specific industries such as power generation, construction, telecommunications, or manufacturing may be required based on the role.

Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, Simulink, and other electrical design tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform root cause analysis to implement solutions.
