The Aluminum Technician is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing a wide range of aluminum systems commonly used in the glass and construction industry. The role involves working closely with engineering teams, project managers, and installers to ensure the highest standards of quality, precision, and safety. Experience in the Gulf region, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication and Assembly:
- Cut, shape, and join aluminum profiles as per specifications and engineering drawings.
- Prepare precise cutting lists, ensuring minimal waste and optimal material usage.
- Operate a variety of aluminum fabrication equipment such as saws, routers, and CNC machines.
Installation:
- Install aluminum frames, windows, doors, curtain walls, skylights, louver systems, cladding, shutters, and frameless systems at project sites.
- Ensure accurate alignment, leveling, and sealing of installed components to meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with installers and site supervisors to achieve efficient workflow and timely project completion.
Technical Expertise:
- Read and interpret engineering documents, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and installation.
- Apply full knowledge of aluminum profiles, systems, and accessories commonly used in the KSA construction market.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend multiple solutions to overcome production or installation challenges.
Quality Control and Safety:
- Inspect finished products and installations to ensure they meet company quality standards and client specifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Communication and Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure seamless project execution.
- Communicate effectively regarding project progress, potential delays, and suggested process improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to junior technicians and apprentices.

Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
- Proven track record in aluminum fabrication and installation, with hands-on experience at project sites.
- Previous work experience in Gulf countries, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in operating aluminum fabrication machines and tools.
- Thorough understanding of aluminum profiles and systems used in KSA.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Skilled in taking accurate measurements and preparing cutting lists for fabrication.
Problem-Solving:
- Capable of analyzing issues in fabrication or installation and proposing multiple solutions.
- Adaptability in troubleshooting on-site challenges under time-sensitive conditions.
Applications Knowledge:
- Experience with windows, doors, curtain walls, skylights, louver systems, cladding, shutters, and frameless applications.
Working Conditions:
- Work may be performed in workshops, manufacturing plants, or on construction sites.
- Exposure to various weather conditions at outdoor project locations.
- Requires physical strength and dexterity for handling aluminum materials and installation activities.
- Strict adherence to safety and quality protocols is mandatory.
