Job Summary:
The EPMO Chief is responsible for establishing and leading the Enterprise Project Management Office to standardize project management practices, ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives, and drive the successful execution of real estate development projects. This role requires strong leadership, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of the real estate development industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- EPMO Strategy and Governance:
- Develop and implement EPMO frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with the company’s vision and business goals.
- Define project governance standards, methodologies, and tools for consistent project delivery.
- Establish and oversee the project portfolio management process to prioritize and align projects with strategic objectives.
- Project Oversight and Delivery:
- Monitor the performance of all real estate development projects across the portfolio, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Identify and address project risks and issues, providing strategic guidance and support to project teams.
- Facilitate resource allocation and optimization across projects to maximize efficiency and outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to ensure projects align with corporate priorities.
- Act as the central point of communication for project progress, risks, and successes to stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships with external partners, consultants, and contractors involved in projects.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and EPMO effectiveness.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards for leadership on project portfolio performance and strategic alignment.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing EPMO team, including project managers, analysts, and support staff.
- Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Promote a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Certifications: PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications in project management.
- Experience:
- Experience in project management, with experianse in a leadership role within the real estate development sector.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex portfolios of real estate projects.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of real estate development processes, including design, construction, and handover phases.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
