Lead Technician (PCS) DCS
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and perform high level skilled diagnosis and repair including equipment installation, troubleshooting, disassembling, reassembling, testing and equipment modification of all types of automation and control system (DCS/PLC/SIS) assignments both in the shops and field.
Lead, repair, calibrate and troubleshoot field automation and control system (DCS/PLC/SIS) to support operations, in compliance with safety standards.
Liaise with field planners and material control to obtain weekly and daily work schedule and the appropriate resources to perform maintenance jobs.
Analyze problems in (DCS/PLC/SIS) system to determine the root causes and conduct trouble shooting of faulty equipment.
Repair/ replace automation system equipment to provide support operations.
Conduct preventive maintenance on all automation systems to minimize risk of equipment breakdown and downtime to operations.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new automation and control equipment and systems to provide support to the maintenance team.
Prepare reports to record all information on faulty equipment and indicate action taken to appraise Management on equipment status.
Provide coaching and supervision to lower-level to ensure proper transfer of skills to perform tasks as per standards.
Qualification
High school with 15 years of progressive experience from craftsman in a refining and petrochemical industry Or Diploma with 14 years of experience.
Knowledge of diagnostics & repair methods for the automation and control (DCS/PLC/SIS) in petrochemical and allied industries.
Good knowledge of international maintenance standards and best practice.
