The Role
The Warehouse Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing warehouse operations in Jeddah. Reporting directly to the MENA Head of Logistics and Warehouse, this position demands operational expertise, and a passion for excellence to drive efficiencies across logistics, inventory management, and team leadership within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring timely receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Implement and manage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to improve accuracy and streamline processes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Conduct workforce planning to meet operational requirements, addressing performance and skill development needs.
- Promote adherence to organizational policies and procedures across all warehouse functions.
Inventory and Logistics Management
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize costs and prevent shortages.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure alignment with business demands.
- Optimize warehouse layout and logistics to maximize storage and operational efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., APICS, Lean Six Sigma) are highly desirable.
- 8+ years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the FMCG industry, with expertise in managing high-volume operations.
- Proven knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and supply chain technology.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on process improvement and cost optimization.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
