IT Application Manager

The IT Applications Manager is responsible to lead the implementation, optimization, and management of IT applications, with a strong focus on Oracle Cloud project management and other critical enterprise systems, including specialized sporting tools. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective integration and performance of multiple IT applications across the organization while driving business alignment and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:


Oracle Cloud Project Management

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of Oracle Cloud applications (ERP, HCM, SCM, etc.), including planning, design, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Develop project plans with clear milestones, budgets, and timelines, ensuring successful execution.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into Oracle Cloud solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service delivery during Oracle Cloud projects.

Oversight of Other IT Applications

  • Supervise the management and optimization of other enterprise IT applications, including sporting tools, CRM, POS, and business intelligence tools.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Oracle Cloud and other IT systems to provide a unified technology ecosystem.
  • Oversee the lifecycle management of IT applications, including implementation, upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for new application adoption, particularly in the area of sporting analytics and performance management.

Sporting Tools Management

  • Oversee the deployment and optimization of specialized sporting tools for performance analytics, athlete management, medical tracking, and team logistics.
  • Collaborate with the sports department to ensure the tools meet the needs of athletes, coaches, and management.
  • Ensure the integration of sporting tools with other enterprise systems for a comprehensive data ecosystem.
  • Conduct training sessions for sporting staff to maximize tool usage and effectiveness.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Manage a team of IT professionals, including developers, system analysts, and administrators.
  • Delegate responsibilities, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of application projects.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.

Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management

  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks and policies for IT application management.
  • Ensure all IT applications meet compliance and regulatory requirements, including data security and privacy standards.
  • Identify potential risks in application performance or integration and implement mitigation strategies.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of IT applications.
  • Create and present regular reports on application performance, project progress, and ROI to senior management.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business units and the IT department to align application capabilities with organizational goals.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to maximize end-user adoption and satisfaction.
  • Engage with external vendors and consultants to ensure high-quality delivery of IT solutions.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing IT applications to improve business efficiency and productivity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to propose innovative IT solutions.


Qualifications and Skills:


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT applications management, with at least 3-5 years focused on Oracle Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with system integration and data migration projects.

Certifications:

  • Oracle Cloud certifications are highly preferred.
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, or Agile Scrum) are advantageous.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in Oracle Cloud modules and integration frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of IT application architectures, APIs, and middleware.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
