We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take on the Health Safety & Security Managers role at King Fahad Cultural Center. A renowned global venue operator is looking to build a highly motivated team to support its operations at a newly refurbished venue in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. King Fahad Cultural Center (KFCC) features a 2750-seat main auditorium and will present world class productions across multiple genres. With its state-of-the-art facilities, KFCC is set to become a leading venue for cultural activities in Riyadh. The venue will host an extensive range of events leveraging the latest technological advancements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures tailored to the entertainment and events management sectors.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with management to ensure that health and safety standards are integrated into all operational processes.
- Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for prevention.
- Stay updated on relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure that all staff are familiar with emergency procedures.
- Engage with external regulatory bodies and stakeholders to maintain compliance and promote a culture of safety.
- Prepare and present health and safety reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience in a health and safety management role, preferably within the entertainment or events management sectors.
- Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
- Proficient in developing training materials and conducting workshops.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to promoting a positive health and safety culture.
- Experience in emergency management and response planning.
Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of health, safety and security management in an international venue, ideally within the live events industry.
- NEBOSH/NCRQ Diploma Level 6 (or equivalent) health and safety qualification with additional experience in areas such as security and crowd management highly beneficial.
- IOSH qualification
- An in depth understanding of H & S compliance and risk management.
- Proven experience of working in an operational H & S role
- Previous H & S management experience in a multi-purpose venue environment would be advantageous.
- Good knowledge and experience of risk analysis
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence others (internal & external) and build effective relationships (internal & external) •
- Ability to understand and analyse complex information and present it simply and accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with Local Authorities, Regulators and Planning.
- Considerable knowledge of Process Safety and experience in developing systems to monitor and improve business awareness and controls.
- Experience in leading a business in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Method Statement. • Experience in HSE training and monitoring.
