To support our site set-up in Saudi-Arabia on customer site in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) we are looking for an experienced, trustworthy and committed Project Manager.
The PM works together with local and international project management team members, local suppliers, the client team and with the local subsidiary.
Responsibilities:
- Cooperation with local and internation project team members & the client team
- Coordination of suppliers on site in cooperation with the Site Management
- Tracking of manufacturing progress in local workshops
- Weekly reporting of project status to local entity
- Support of the Lessons Learned process
- Insurance of safety on site
- Tracking of local payments
- Coordination of warranty issues
- The PM coordinates agreements between Engineering and Purchasing (in advance) for local bid-packs. Coordination takes place during regular meetings. LPM can escalate if collaboration between these two departments is not working well.
- The PM prepares Final Decision by Senior PM about local purchase orders. Based on common discussion between PM, Engineering and Purchasing. All pros and cons must be considered.
- The PM supports ENG and Purchasing with Bid-Pack creation for local purchase orders (bid pack splitting, budget splitting)
- The PM follows up RFQ and purchasing progress for local purchase orders
- The PM is participating in the Sourcing Strategy Meeting
- The PM is participating in the Sourcing Call
- The PM participates in the most important negotiations for local purchase orders
- The PM follows up the progress of all activities for local manufacturing, such as: Pre-acceptance of equipment with customer – planning, organization and execution for local bid-packs
- The PM ensures that the processes on site are implemented as described in the respective process descriptions for Site Management / Installation.
- Maintaining close contact to the Site Management
- Support of Site Management as required
- Mainly resident on-site to ensure installation progress and quality
- Managing escalations and making decisions in consultation with involved departments
- Defining punch point procedure with customer
- Monitoring of Punch List Progress and taking appropriate measures in case of slow processing of Punch Points
- Organization and execution of internal Punch Point Meeting to coordinate punch points that need support by office (engineering, purchasing etc.)
- Checking and processing Project Change Requests from site
- Checking and processing obstruction notes and damage reports from site
- Supporting site team in case of EWR with high volume
- Evaluation of key suppliers
- Maintaining close contact to the Commissioning Coordinator
- Support of the Commissioning Coordinator and Engineers as required
- Making decisions in case of deviations in consultation with the Commissioning Coordinator / Senior Project Manager as required
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements
- Monitoring of Punch List Progress and taking appropriate measures in case of slow processing of Punch Points
- Ensure that customer training takes place as agreed
- Ensuring that acceptance relevant topics are prepared and can be reached on time
Skills
- B.S degree in Engineering or relevant field
- Project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Trello).
- Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles.
- Risk management and mitigation strategies.
