Primary Purpose of the Job
Diagnosis and repairs of all electrical faults / damaged electrical parts on companies
represented brands of Generators, Air compressors, Light towers, Heavy, Medium and
light construction equipment, buses, trucks, road sweepers. Computer diagnostic and
reprograming using manufactures IT system.
Main Duties
Inspects and diagnoses the cause of electrical malfunction or failure of the truck or
equipment and discusses the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with the service
manager to determine the repair needed.
Identifies all required parts + expected repair time required and advises Service manager.
Rewires ignition system, lights, and instrument panel. Replaces and adjusts headlights,
and installs and repairs accessories such as heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers, ECU,
BCM, transmission and brake computers.
Carries out Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) as required for new vehicles / Equipment.
Carries out preventative maintenance and services as per schedule.
Adheres to safety rules and procedures by applying safe working practices.
Plans and records electrical testing and repairs or initiates modification or replacement of
any equipment that fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
Re-inspects all completed repair work to ensure quality before handing over the
equipment.
Secures the assigned powered, manual and diagnostic tools by adhering to the
implemented control procedures.
Installs / repairs air conditioning systems.
Overhauls air conditioning systems.
Contributes to the general housekeeping of the workshop and keeps his tools clean and
secure.
Carries out any task that may be assigned to him by the Service Manager inside the
company’s workshop or at customer sites.
Clearly write up repair order with 3 C’s Complaint / Cause / Cure + online reporting of
technical issues to manufactures.

4. Person Specification
Qualifications
Technical high school diploma or equivalent vocational studies as an auto electrician.
Driving License for KSA or prepared to acquire license at their expense.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an auto electrician at workshops for heavy construction
machinery and or trucks, busses, generators.
Skills
Knowledge & Skills
Team player.
Safety-oriented for performing electric repair work.
Skillful in operating diagnostic equipment.
Knowledgeable about the different types of electric circuits of heavy machinery / trucks /
buses / generators.
- Must be fluent to read / write and speak English, Arabic is added advantage.
