Job Purpose
The chief financial officer is responsible for overseeing financial activities, ensuring compliance with policies and standards, and providing financial insights to support informed decision making and long term financial health. Additionally, the CFO provides strategic leadership and guidance on financial controls, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and loss prevention.
Key Accountabilities
· Establish the strategic vision and objectives of the finance department in alignment with the overall company strategy.
· Serve as a member of the top leadership team on all planning and policy making committees.
· Establish and monitor the achievement of finance department KPIs and take corrective actions.
· Maintain oversight of all financial control and accounting, management reporting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
· Oversee and manage financial and accounting activities according to established policies, guidelines, and local or international standards (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
· Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports and analysis to the CEO and Executive team.
· Provide strategic financial guidance and analysis to executive management, enabling effective decision making on finance and accounting matters.
· Oversee the preparation and delivery of major financial presentations and reports to the board of directors and CEO.
· Drive efficiency, standardization, and cost reduction through scalable processes to facilitate seamless integration of future businesses and growth activities.
· Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing performance and risks, while retaining continuous awareness of the company’s financial position and recommending cost effective solutions.
· Coordinate and facilitate the annual external audit activities and monitor the financial health of the company by tracking KPIs such as cash flow, collections, and receivables.
· Oversee the creation of financial models to forecast the budget impact of proposed projects or policies and present these to the board of directors and CEO.
· Review banking transactions and coordinate fund management with stakeholders.
· Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile and represent the company in matters related to external financial transactions.
· Responsible for strategic financial planning and analysis, overseeing financial reporting, and compliance, managing cash flow and investments, and ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting for effective decision making and risk management to support the company's financial health in Oracle Fusion.
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees such as an MBA or Master degree is a huge plus.
· Significant experience in financial management and leadership roles includes 7-10+ years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a senior management position.
· Strong financial acumen, strategic planning abilities, and leadership skills.
· Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
· Certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) can be advantageous.
· Knowledge of the lubricant and automobile industry is preferred as well as experience with regulatory requirements and compliance.
· Strong communication skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively with other executives and stakeholders.
· Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (Oracle Fusion).
