The General Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial health of a company, particularly within the Food & Beverage Production industry. This position involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, along with experience in financial auditing. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of financial data and supporting strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
  2. Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  3. Conduct regular audits to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
  4. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  5. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
  7. Monitor and analyze financial performance and variances.
  8. Maintain and update financial databases and accounting software.
  9. Prepare tax returns and ensure timely payments.
  10. Support external auditors during financial audits.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  2. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  3. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  8. Experience in the Food & Beverage industry is a plus.
  9. Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
  10. Strong ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting.
