Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy network infrastructures that ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Continuously monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal operation and minimize downtime.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices to meet the organization’s requirements.
• Implement and manage security policies, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to protect network integrity.
• Work closely with other IT teams and departments to assess networking needs and provide technical expertise and support.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Analyze network performance metrics and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Skills

• Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in network engineering or a related technical role.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA) are a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/S, DNS, DHCP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other networking devices from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.
• Knowledge of security protocols and technologies such as VPNs, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs).
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving network issues, with the ability to use diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, and PRTG.
