Testing & Commissioning:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and manage the commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment on-site.
  • Perform functional testing, system integration, and commissioning activities, ensuring all systems operate according to design specifications and industry standards.
  • Ensure testing and commissioning activities are carried out in compliance with the project’s scope, timeline, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare and review commissioning procedures and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the commissioning phase and provide technical solutions.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain detailed records of testing and commissioning activities, including reports, logs, and checklists.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary documentation related to the testing and commissioning phase for handover to the client or relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all testing and commissioning activities are documented according to project requirements and industry standards.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution of commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as design, procurement, and construction teams, to ensure the timely completion of all required commissioning tasks.
  • Conduct training sessions for operators and end-users on the operation and maintenance of commissioned systems.

Quality Assurance & Safety:

  • Ensure that all commissioning work is performed in accordance with established quality standards and specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations during the testing and commissioning processes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and contribute to the development of safety plans.

Client Interaction:

  • Attend client meetings and provide updates on the progress of testing and commissioning activities.
  • Address any technical issues or concerns raised by the client and work towards resolving them in a timely manner.


Skills

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in testing, commissioning, and startup of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping, pumps, etc.), preferably in large-scale industrial or construction projects.
  • Proven track record in commissioning complex mechanical systems in demanding environments, infrastructure, or marine projects.
  • Experience working in the Red Sea region or similar remote locations is highly preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and commissioning processes.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues during the commissioning phase.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
