Monitoring Systems:
- Monitor and analyze real-time data from remote sensors, devices, and equipment within the SCADA system to track performance and operational conditions.
- Respond to alarms or deviations from standard operation and take corrective actions.
Data Interpretation:
- Analyze data to identify patterns or potential problems that could affect system reliability, efficiency, or safety.
- Compile reports for higher-level management or engineering teams.
Control Operations:
- Operate control systems to adjust settings and parameters of equipment, such as pumps, valves, motors, or turbines, based on real-time data or predefined operating conditions.
- Implement predefined procedures to address operational problems, such as equipment malfunctions or environmental changes.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
- Diagnose and resolve issues with the SCADA system or the infrastructure being monitored (e.g., electrical substations, water treatment plants).
- Coordinate with field technicians and engineers when repairs or manual interventions are needed.
Preventative Maintenance:
- Regularly perform checks and maintenance tasks to ensure SCADA equipment and connected devices are functioning correctly.
- Update and maintain system software and hardware.
Communication & Coordination:
- Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other departments to ensure optimal system performance and to troubleshoot issues.
- Communicate with other control room operators or site personnel when required for coordination.
Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to alarms or system failures by taking corrective action or escalating the issue.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during emergencies or critical situations.
