POSITION SUMMARY

Air Products, along with its joint venture partners are developing a world-class green hydrogen production facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The successful applicant will provide planning support and maintain schedules for the assigned areas of the project to suit the project execution strategy and needs from both and internal and external aspect. Ensure accurate and timely reporting input to the project and work within the project applicable procedures and process workflows.

Responsibilities:

Have a sound understanding of project scheduling techniques, schedule basis creation, WBS and CBS structuring methodology, LOSH and Systemization prioritisation and key work process for logic creation, cost and resource loading required for schedule creation. 

Main responsibilities and activities include:

  • Reporting to the Project Controls Manager but working closely with the Site CSU Manager and construction/pre-commissioning team
  • Developing and maintaining detailed commissioning planning for the assigned areas of the project.  This may include specific Commissioning and Start-up supportcontracts, , outsourced or site execution, materials and equipment or site services
  • Collection of information / commissioning updates for the weekly and monthly Status Reports.
  • Production of progress, productive curves and earned value reporting.
  • Production / issue of formal reports (with input from Projects).
  • Preparing ad hoc progress reports to facilitate effective controls within Commissioning and Start-up.
  • Provide statistical data for management reviews.
  • Regular project team reviews, Planning Meeting and Last Planner Meetings.
  • Initiate day-to-day discussions with all groups involved in a project to assess the change / schedule implication of ongoing work.
  • Maintain and manage schedule impact of changes and ensure that they are suitably approved and communicated
  • Provide scheduling support in the impact of changes and construction change orders to support the efficient execution of the CSU scope
  • Assist project team in development of action plans to avoid / minimise cost / schedule overruns.
  • Integrate GHE Master schedule with NEOM integrated schedule.
  • Monitor contactor progress and provide highlights on critical items on a weekly basis.
  • Provide support as necessary to Planning Manager and CSU Manager at Project Progress Meetings and Management Interface meetings with the Client and AP management
  • Maintain schedule KPIs as required by the Site Project Manager and the CSU Manager


Skills

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Numerate or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of work experience on major Construction projects.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of work experience on working in KSA.
  • General Experience: Sound knowledge, proven skills and competencies in application of project planning principles, methodologies and tools, supporting all phases of project execution, particularly around schedule development, progress measurement/reporting and earned value, within a large project-oriented EPC or Owner Organization. Must have a track record of delivering accurate schedule information, reporting and guidance to senior management. Experience within an Oil & Gas, Chemical processing or related business and equivalent projects a further benefit.
  • Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project experience is essential. E
  • Determined, Adaptable and Resilient: Able to achieve success under significant pressure, evolving requirements, and conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to represent AP in front of the Client, Strong communicator written and oral.
  • Excellent knowledge and proficiency with the Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, Power point, One Note)
  • Working knowledge of SAP, EcoSys PM, Deltek Acumen is desirable
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Culturally Astute: Experienced and able to work with within a diverse office environment, multi-region project execution.
