Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Planning: Develop and execute a forward-looking procurement strategy that aligns with corporate objectives and anticipates business needs across the company and its subsidiaries. Actively manage the sourcing process to secure best-in-class vendors, balancing cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Cost Management and Value Optimization: Oversee procurement budgets with a focus on maximizing value creation. Leverage market intelligence and cost analysis to drive negotiations, identify savings opportunities, and implement procurement solutions that contribute to the bottom line without sacrificing quality standards.
  • Team Leadership and Procurement Excellence: Lead a high-performing procurement team, promoting a culture of accountability, professional growth, and excellence in sourcing practices. Offer training, mentorship, and performance feedback to build a dynamic team skilled in managing complex procurement requirements.
  • Supplier Performance and Relationship Management: Establish and maintain robust supplier relationships to ensure alignment with quality, compliance, and delivery standards. Lead supplier selection, due diligence, and contract negotiations, ensuring performance is continuously monitored and optimized for long-term success.
  • Contract Management and Compliance: Oversee end-to-end contract management, ensuring all agreements are transparent, legally compliant, and advantageous to the company’s objectives. Maintain a strong understanding of regulatory and ethical procurement requirements, embedding compliance at every stage of the procurement process.
  • Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement: Continuously refine procurement workflows to increase efficiency, transparency, and cost-effectiveness. Utilize lean methodologies, digital procurement tools, and market best practices to streamline processes and ensure agile responses to evolving business needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with finance, project management, and operations teams to ensure procurement efforts align with broader business objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, facilitating communication and ensuring that procurement supports operational and strategic goals.
  • Data Analytics and Performance Monitoring: Harness data analytics to drive informed decision-making and monitor procurement performance metrics, such as cost savings, lead times, and supplier reliability. Provide detailed, data-driven reports to senior management, offering insights into procurement efficiencies, vendor performance, and budget adherence.
  • Sustainable Procurement and Corporate Responsibility: Integrate sustainable procurement practices that support environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. Emphasize responsible sourcing, waste reduction, and ethical vendor selection, contributing to corporate social responsibility while meeting procurement objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably in real estate or construction, with a history of managing procurement for multiple entities or subsidiaries.
  • Procurement Expertise: Deep knowledge of procurement best practices, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced data analysis skills. Experience with digital procurement tools, e-sourcing, or supply chain analytics is an advantage.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership abilities with a record of developing and motivating teams. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Skilled in using data and market insights for decision-making and optimizing procurement processes.
  • Ethical and Sustainable Procurement: Commitment to ethical practices and sustainability. Experience integrating sustainability into procurement is a plus.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
