We are a leading EPC contracting company in Saudi Arabia, specializing in the construction of large-scale high voltage (HV) and extra-high voltage (BHV) substations, overhead lines, power plants, water treatment plants, water pipelines, and industrial plant projects. As part of our commitment to sustainability and innovation, we are expanding into renewable energy solutions. We are seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of renewable energy systems for our diverse projects.

Position Overview:

The Renewable Energy Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing renewable energy solutions, including solar, wind, and other sustainable power sources. This role requires a professional who is passionate about renewable energy and sustainability, with strong technical expertise in the engineering, installation, and optimization of renewable energy systems. The engineer will work closely with the project management and engineering teams to integrate renewable solutions into the company's EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development of Renewable Energy Systems:

  • Design and develop renewable energy systems such as solar photovoltaic (PV), wind, and hybrid power systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and energy assessments to identify optimal renewable energy solutions for projects.
  • Create detailed technical designs, specifications, and layouts for renewable energy installations.

Project Implementation and Support:

  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of renewable energy systems in coordination with project teams.
  • Provide technical guidance during the construction phase to ensure proper integration of renewable systems into existing infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance for maximum efficiency and reliability.

Research and Innovation:

  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in renewable energy and sustainable power solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in existing systems and propose new renewable energy solutions for future projects.
  • Work on reducing the carbon footprint of the company's projects through renewable energy integration.

Health, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure that all renewable energy installations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safety protocols for renewable energy projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international codes and standards related to renewable energy systems.

Cost Analysis and Budgeting:

  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed renewable energy projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, estimating costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including designs, calculations, and technical reports.
  • Prepare regular project progress reports and energy performance analyses for stakeholders.
  • Keep records of all renewable energy installations for future reference and maintenance.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree in Renewable Energy or Sustainability is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing renewable energy systems, particularly in solar or wind energy.
  • Previous experience within the EPC or energy sector is preferred.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, including solar PV, wind power, and hybrid energy systems.
  • Proficiency in design and simulation software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, Homer, or similar).
  • Familiarity with energy storage systems and grid integration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certification in renewable energy systems or energy efficiency (e.g., LEED, NABCEP) is preferred but not required.
