PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To maintain accurate and up-to-date status of material and equipment receipts, issues and inventories in the company’s formal tools i.e SMAT (Smart Plant Material), SAP etc.
- To provide Construction & Project Managers, the updates & visibility of received as well as upcoming material with forecast delivery schedules.
- To record and direct action on all Over, Short and Damaged materials.
- To ensure all material and equipment is properly handled, controlled, stored and maintained in accordance with project procedures, specification and vendor requirements.
- To coordinate all material handling, ensuring the availability of sufficient manpower and equipment.
- To ensure proper record keeping of all material received at site and issued to contractors as per company procedures.
- To coordinate material substitutions and unscheduled material requirements.
- To ensure material and equipment in inventory is properly identified and store locations recorded.
- To perform periodic inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records and initiate corrective action to eliminate discrepancies.
- To coordinate site purchasing services for the construction project office.
- To coordinate with expediting team on material and equipment deliveries to site.
- To provide services for all receiving and shipping activities on site.
- To report on events requesting actions for insurance claims.
- To follow the organization chart for the material management, defined tasks, responsibilities and line of authority.
- To prepare, in collaboration with the Procurement Manager, the policies and strategies which will dictate project material management procedures.
- To prepare the material management & control plan.
- To establish, in collaboration with the Procurement Manager, the Site Materials Management Plan/Procedures.
- To participate as applicable in the establishment of the budget and administer thereafter.
- To establish, in collaboration with the QA/QC Manager, an inward material inspection plan as part of material management plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 8 years of warehouse work related experience.
- Bachelor Degree (In Business, Engineering, Technical disciplines).
- Must have an experience in managing warehouse activities during major shutdowns, project work, plant operations and maintenance efforts.
- Proficiency in English (Reading and Writing).
- Knowledge in SAP & SMAT (ERP System).
