The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be a part of the project execution team, overseeing the electrical and telecom aspects of our construction projects to ensure they meet our design intent, specifications, and quality standards. |
ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES The Senior Electrical Design Engineer responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: - Represent Neom in all electrical engineering matters during the planning, construction, and commissioning phases of construction projects.
- Review and provide feedback on electrical engineering designs, drawings, and specifications submitted by external consultants and contractors.
- Monitor and inspect/telecom electrical installations to ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, identify potential issues, and ensure quality control.
- Provide technical expertise and support in resolving electrical engineering issues that arise during construction.
- Review and approve electrical submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
- Prepare and present reports on project status, electrical system performance, and compliance to senior management.
- Advocate for Neom’s interests, ensuring that project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Experience - Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering within the building and infrastructure industry with a strong focus on large complex construction projects.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or similar certification preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering electrical components of large-scale projects.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively represent the client in meetings and negotiations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Proficient in English.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
