Quality Management & Assurance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the QA/QC procedures and processes for architectural works.
- Ensure that all architectural activities meet the company’s quality standards and comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Perform audits and inspections to verify compliance with the project’s quality plan.
- Coordinate with other departments (engineering, procurement, construction) to ensure integrated quality control efforts.
Supervision and Inspections:
- Lead the inspection of architectural works, ensuring that all materials, workmanship, and installation are per design specifications.
- Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Ensure corrective actions are taken to address non-conformities identified during inspections.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and quality records.
- Track and report any quality issues and propose solutions to resolve them promptly.
- Conduct quality meetings, review performance, and provide guidance to improve quality standards on-site.
Coordination & Communication:
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are understood and met.
- Act as the main point of contact for all architectural QA/QC-related issues on the project site.
- Support project teams by providing guidance on QA/QC practices and resolving any quality-related problems.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate quality risks related to architectural works.
- Ensure that preventive measures are implemented to avoid recurring quality issues.
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to during inspections and on-site activities.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor junior QA/QC staff, providing training and support to improve their knowledge and skills.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality standards within the team.
Skills
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industry, with a strong focus on architectural works.
Technical Skills:
- Thorough understanding of architectural design, construction processes, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ISO 9001, local building codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software.
- Strong knowledge of material specifications and testing procedures.
Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in leading QA/QC teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve quality issues efficiently.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and reports clearly.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address quality-related issues proactively.
Certifications: QA/QC certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor would be an added advantage.
