IT Support Senior Officer

Job Purpose:

As an IT Support Senior Officer, your primary purpose is to ensure the smooth

operation of our organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing

technical assistance and support to internal users, resolving hardware and software

issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Your role extends to

managing and troubleshooting network systems, including routers, switches, and

firewalls, to guarantee seamless connectivity and data security. Additionally, you will

play a vital role in implementing and maintaining IT policies and procedures and

ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. Your expertise will

contribute to optimizing IT operations, enhancing user experience, and fostering a

reliable and secure IT environment for the organization's success.

Task & Responsibilities


Provide Technical Support:


 Respond promptly to user inquiries and troubleshoot technical issues related to

hardware, software, and network systems.

 Diagnose and resolve technical problems remotely or through on-site visits,

ensuring minimal disruption to productivity.

Maintain IT Infrastructure:

 Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals to ensure

optimal performance and reliability.

 Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and network devices

as needed.

Network Management:

 Administer and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches,

firewalls, and wireless access points.

 Monitor network performance and security, identifying and addressing any

vulnerabilities or issues to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

User Training and Documentation:

 Provide training and guidance to users on the use of IT systems and software,

promoting best practices for efficiency and security.

 Create and maintain documentation, including user guides and technical manuals,

to facilitate knowledge sharing and troubleshooting.

IT Policy Implementation:

 Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and

protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory

requirements.

 Enforce security measures and data protection protocols to safeguard against

cybersecurity threats and breaches.

Collaboration and Communication:

 Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to address complex

technical issues and implement solutions.

 Communicate effectively with users to provide updates on the status of technical

issues and resolutions, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement:

 Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending

innovative solutions to enhance IT infrastructure and operations.

Year of Experience:

5 years of experience.

Education:

Bachelor degree in Information Technology,Diploma IT or equivalent

Databases - Introduction to Cybersecurity Essentials - How to Secure your Network

Device using Cisco Packet Tracer - Microsoft Azure Cloud Services - Network and

storage IBM fourth stage
