Senior Strategy & Performance Specialist

Job Purpose

The Senior Strategy & Performance Specialist is responsible for supporting strategic planning efforts and performance evaluations within the Insurance Authority. This position is responsible for utilizing comprehensive systems to monitor and enhance the performance of both the sector and the authority, setting relevant KPIs, developing the IA's business plan, and assisting in budget preparation.


Key Responsibilities and Activities


Operations Management

  • Implementation of the Division’s policies, regulations, procedures, and controls so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are met while delivering high-quality and cost-effective results.


Strategy & Performance

  • Assist in the development and refinement of the Insurance Authority’s strategic plan.
  • Support is arranging quarterly and annual meetings with departments to measure strategic and operational performance indicators at the level of the Authority’s strategic objectives.
  • Help develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for various departments within the Authority.
  • Collect, analyse, and report performance data to help assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide support in managing strategic projects, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of project activities.
  • Support is the development of regular reports on strategic and operational KPIs for internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse trends and variances in performance data, providing insights and recommendations for performance enhancements.
  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives by coordinating with relevant departments and ensuring adherence to timelines and goals.
  • Support in the monitoring of ongoing strategic initiatives.
  • Perform other activities as and when required.


Qualifications and Requirements


Knowledge and Experience

  • 3 years or more of relevant experience in business development, strategy or strategic performance management.
  • Experience in relevant systems.


Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Strategy or any related field.
  • Relevant certification is preferred.
