Job Summary:
Procurement professional is an administrative and technical work position in supervising a team responsible for the purchasing. An employee allocated to this class of work is responsible for the supervision of a procurement team engaged in a wide range of high-volume purchasing activities. The employee is responsible for assigning work to his/her team commensurate with job level.
Key Accountabilities:
- Discover suppliers, initiate contracting, and create business and organizational partnerships.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable price and quality terms.
- Getting approval of the request for the necessary goods and services from the various departments.
- Finalize the details of purchasing orders and delivery.
- Examine and test existing contracts and ascertain contract renewal dates.
- Follow up on requirements and submit reports on purchases and requirements.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure clarity of requirements and budgets.
- Building and developing the purchasing department, developing purchasing plans and drawing up policies and procedures.
- Presenting the needs of each department of raw materials and setting the appropriate budget.
- Build and develop an annual plan for the requirements of the necessary raw materials.
- Constant search for new suppliers of raw materials used in manufacturing or operation.
- Make a periodic plan at the end of each year and update policies and procedures.
- Building the various structures and models used in the Procurement Department.
- Maintain files of internal and external purchase requisitions, quotations and contracts.
- Constant communication with the warehouse management regarding the shortage of stock, the extent of storage capacity and the movement of the stock turnover rate.
- Preparing the orders received from the various departments, sending them to approved suppliers, and following them up until receiving them.
- Reviewing suppliers' offers and responding to them affirmatively or rejecting them.
- Follow-up changes that appear on the prices of raw materials periodically.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be holding a Bachelor in a relevant field.
Minimum Experience:
Must have a minimum of 4 years as a senior Procurement.
Required Skills:
- Good English language and Arabic is a plus knowledge of Procurement & Purchasing principles and practices.
- Intermediate proficiency in data collection and analysis.
- Advance proficiency in Data reporting.
- Expert in Microsoft Office Programs ( Excel ).
- Considerable knowledge of a wide variety of technical supplies and materials.
- Considerable knowledge of record keeping methods and procedures applicable to purchasing.
- Knowledge of the basic principles of management and ability to supervise the work of others.
- Ability to interpret contractual documents and prepares statistical reports.
