Services Providers Supervisor - Shipping Services

JOB PURPOSE:

Jobholders at this level are experienced professionals capable of conducting work with general directions. They are primarily concerned with developing solutions to challenges which require some analysis to understand and resolve, and addressing issues escalated from junior levels.

They undertake complex operational activities including coordinating with regional and global authorities, establishing communication processes, providing support to concerned stakehlders, and developing periodical reports.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :


  • Develop and update Transshipment operators’ eligibility criteria in line with ZATCA’s strategic priorities and National rules and regulations
  • Coordinate with regional and global authorities to exchange data based on changes in Transshipment decisions, protocols, and standards in line with best practices
  • Analyze received data based on Transshipment changes (changes in restrictions, intelligence information, trade routes discrepancies, geopolitical issues, etc.) and report back updates on decisions, protocols, and standards
  • Provide support to Special Transshipment providers (TIR and RFS) in coordinating with Service Providers function
  • Gather and analyze Transshipment operators’ performance to identify pain points and non-compliant cases and provide recommendation on needed policies and procedures amendments
  • Conduct unscheduled inspections in coordination with Custom Affairs and collect data on Transshipment to ensure compliance with latest rules and guidelines
  • Conduct scheduled inspections for Transshipment systems and technical procedures in coordination with relevant stakeholders, assess workability, recommend suggestions, and implement automation modes when possible
  • Filter collected data from inspections, conduct detailed analysis, identify areas of improvements, and report back findings to relevant stakeholders
  • Develop periodical reports highlighting Transshipment operational gaps and improvement areas and dispatch to relevant stakeholders
  • Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
  • Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
  • Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/ junior staff
  • Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes


JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :


  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
